10 salmon recipes that won’t disappoint

Luckily for those who love salmon as much as I do, it’s one of those super-healthy fish that is low in mercury!
Salmon is packed with omega 3 fatty acids and there are soooooooo many delicious recipes you can make with salmon. Honestly, you’d have to try REALLY hard to turn salmon into an unhealthy dish and I truly don’t know why you’d bother.
When it comes to choosing my salmon, I’ll have to admit that I have a thing for wild pacific salmon and if I can get my hands on Sockeye or Coho salmon, I will shamelessly stuff my face because salmon from the west coast doesn’t taste the same as salmon from the east coast.
I’ve tried canned salmon and I have to say that the smell is such a turn off for me, I find it difficult to eat something I don’t find that smells pleasant … we eat with all our senses and mine need to be enjoying the experience or else I’ll pass.
I stopped eating farm-raised salmon a while back because there is a lot of controversy around what the fish is fed. In the movie Food, Inc. they talk about feeding corn to farmed salmon … yikes … I don’t think it’s natural to feed corn to salmon!
Here’s an interesting thing about salmon, I’ve eaten salmon and smoked salmon in Europe and I have to say NOTHING beats North American salmon in my opinion! Perhaps when I visit the northern countries in Europe I might change my mind but since most of the European salmon comes from those northern countries, I’m not sure if I’ll change my mind on this.

I became hungry with those recipes!
I want to try preparing salmons next week, for some old friends. They are health conscious and very picky on food. Salmon, it’s healthy right? I guess salmon is ok for them.
