breakfast_smoothie_readers_question

I received a question from one of my readers and since I was going back and forth via email, I decided to answer her question via video so that I can provide more readers a chance to take advantage of Doreen’s great question!

Doreen’s brother has just switched to the vegan diet and as a result he’s lost a whopping 70 lbs!

Wow! Congratulations!

Now, I want to make it clear that in my opinion, becoming vegan is a lifestyle choice and not necessary to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight.

That said, the fact that Doreen’s brother became a vegan, I have no doubt that his intake of vegetables and whole foods went up and really served his body well.

Doreen’s question had to do with her brother’s breakfast choice.

From her email, her brother has a breakfast shake with the following ingredients:

Orange, banana, water, assorted fruits, lots of spinach and flax seed.

I want to let you know that I’ve answered Doreen base on the information she sent me via email and this is really base on my own opinion.

When it comes to helping readers make better food choices when it come to healthy breakfast recipes, I try to include delicious breakfast smoothie recipes on the site, but there must be thousands of them all over the Internet.

There are just a few things to keep in mind: 1) don’t load up on sugar 2) make sure you always include a protein source in your smoothie.
