Bipasha Basu is getting India into fitness!


Bipasha Basu, the Indian superstar celebrity that has for mission to get Indian into fitness!
Bipasha Basu might not be a house-hold name in North America, but she’s the Angelina Jolie of India. Like so many of these East Indian film goddesses, Bipasha Basu is simply stunning (I mean STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL). You’ll have to forgive me because I’m a HUGE fan of Bollowood female stars and movies (and no I don’t speak Hindi, but love watching the movies).
Bipasha Basu started her career as a super model and then became on silver screen sweetheart.
Bipasha Basu is 6 feet tall which is very (VERY) rare for an Indian woman and a few years ago the daily local tabloid papers made it their mission to depict her as “fat”. Back in 2006, Mid-Day (an Indian tabloid) had written an article saying “Bips becomes fat“. This was the kick in the behind Bipasha needed to make changes in her life since she had put on weight during two successful movies: Jism and Gunaah. Since Bipasha’s boyfriend kept telling her she was the hottest thing on earth she never saw herself as being fat … but the rest of India had a different perspective.

Arm workout to eliminate arm fat!
Most women HATE their arms!
A lot of women get to a point in their lives where they simply refuse to expose their arms because of the excess fat and lack of muscular definition.
I’ve made it a point in my workouts to focus on the arms because I really want to age and still have firm arms. I don’t think it’s possible at all without weight training.
Heck, I want to be able to carry my grocery shopping bags packed with healthy foods on my own at 90!
There are specific exercises for the triceps and biceps that really make a difference over time.
I don’t lift more than 10-12 lbs, but between free weights and resistance cables, I have to say that I’m quite proud of the way my arms look.
Ladies, getting older doesn’t automatically mean having flabby arms!

I was watching the recap madness on TV last night for the Real Housewives of Orange County and I can tell you that if this is a warm up to the cattiness to come, the new season of rich California housewives will be quite the entertainment.
It’s no secret these women get a little bit of help when it comes to aging well, but they also spend a whole lot of time at the gym.
I was quite surprised to see that Tamra Barnes and Lynne Curtin headed to the gym to workout with a trainer who set them up on the TRX Suspension Training for a killer workout!

8 Hollywood actresses who love yoga!

When you look at some of the Hollywood stars who have been gravitating toward yoga as their secret to a super flexible and lean body, you might also want to consider this exercise as part of your own fitness regime.
I did yoga for the first time back in 1996 and I really didn’t like it all that much. Along the years, I’ve tried yoga here and there, but it’s never been all that appealing to me. Then a few months ago, I discovered hot yoga and it changed my entire relationship with yoga. I liked it so much I wrote a review about it here:

Ellen Degeneres dances with So You Think You Can Dance

I always watch the 1 am re-run of the Ellen Show and I can tell you that I didn’t expect the September 8th, 2009 season premier.
Ellen has been dancing and she’s been getting her audience to dance since the beginning of her show, but seeing her dance with the So You Think You Can Dance dancers was surreal.
She really nailed it and she did an incredible job.

I’ll tell you that I think she looks 500 times better now than she did in 1992 when we saw her in the movie Speed.

Madonna’s and Kylie Minogue workout secrets

Before I get into revealing which exercise equipment Madonna and Kylie Minogue have been using to keep their over 40 bodies looking smashing, I should say this is NOT for everyone’s budget because the machine is really expensive.
That said, if you have the money (usually they start at $2,500 and it seems that is twice that the U.K.), a Power Plate machine might be worth considering.
I know you know what a Power Plate because I’m sure you’ve seen the ads in a number of magazines and if you’ve been to any big shows targeting women, there must have been a few vendors trying to entice in forking out a couple of grands for the machine.
