Nespresso Aeroccino Milk Froth is a winner!

Nespresso Aeroccino Milk Froth is truly exceptional!
Are you looking for a way to cut back on your gourmet coffee costs? Well, I’ve found the perfect way to prepare inexpensive lattes (with fancy milk froth) at home!
I don’t have much counter space in my kitchen, so I don’t own a fancy-high-end-cappuccino machine. I was willing to put one on my kitchen table until my Italian girlfriend Debi told me to skip the expensive and hard-to-clean cappuccino machine and do what the Italians do and buy a stove top espresso maker instead.
I bought my stove top espresso maker at Ikea (of all places) because I was determined to find one that was stainless steel instead of the traditional aluminum ones. Most stores sell the stainless steel version at a high premium and Ikea had an incredible price and since I wasn’t sure I’d like the process of using a stove top espresso maker, I decide to invest as little as possible.

Montel Williams and the HealthMaster Emulsifier

You must have seen the TV ads with Montel Williams featuring the As Seen on TV HealthMaster fruit & vegetable emulsifier?
I was stunned a few days ago when I saw this infomercial with Montel Williams.
I know Montel has been out of the public eye for some time and I also know he’s been dealing with a serious health issue: he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 1999 and now heads the Montel Williams MS Foundation.
That said, I just would not have put Montel and a sophisticated blender in the same setting.
Since I’m a huge sucker for infomercials, I watched Montel and company present the HealthMaster Emulsifier for 30 minutes!
Now, I will admit that I did find that the HealthMaster Emulsifier strangely resembles the Vita-Mix blender, but the price is dramatically different since the Vita-Mix will set you back $500-$600 dollars, while the HealthMaster Emulsifier is a little less than $200.

My blender is my most-used kitchen appliance
My blender is the most-used small appliance in my kitchen! I use it more than anything, other than my stove and fridge.
My Cuisinart Smart Power Bar blender is at least 8 years old and I’m surprised it lasted that long, considering how many breakfast smoothies I make. I chose that particular model because it has a glass body as opposed to a plastic one. At the time, I was worried about putting hot liquids (like soup) into a plastic blender, so I went with the glass.
It’s worked like a charm since day one, but I have noticed lately that it’s a little bit slower on some days than others which leads me to believe the motor is about to give in.

I need a citrus juicer for fresh juice!
I was walking through the mall not long ago, when I was stopped in my tracks by a demonstration for Breville kitchen appliances.
I really didn’t know much about this Australian company, but a few minutes of watching the demonstrations and playing with the citrus juicer made my heart beat with excitement.
I left there saying to myself: I NEED that citrus juicer badly.
>>> 1) The Breville 800CPXL Die-Cast Stainless-Steel Motorized Citrus Pressis the sexiest juicer I’ve ever seen. You can literally press any citrus fruit (orange, lemon, mandarine, tangerine, clementine, lime or grapefruit) with one finger because the machine is that easy to use.

Can a food steamer help you eat healthy?

I was watching the sales numbers go up to exhilarating levels on a recent kitchen segment on the Shopping Channel and thought to myself “I didn’t know so many people were into food steamers”.
I do boil certain vegetables, but I’m talking two or three minutes and I will immediately remove them when the colour turns to a bright shade. For other vegetables I’ll use a stainless steamer that I put on top of a boiling pot.

I love homemade ice cream so much

Homemade ice cream was one of the highlights of my childhood because I had an aunt who seemed to have perfected the art and going to her house on weekends was a guarantee of something really good.
If memory serves me correctly, my aunt would make vanilla, strawberry, peach and coconut ice cream with her ice cream maker.
I think as a child the hardest thing about homemade ice cream made with an ice cream maker is the fact that you had to sit in the kitchen patiently watching your aunt make the ice cream, then you were asked to go out and play while the ice cream was in the freezer to set and many hours later, you could finally indulge in some delicious ice cream! The wait was painfully long, but well worth it in the end because nothing equals homemade ice cream.
