For those who don’t want to know about pH foods, but just want basic tips on the right food choices when doing your grocery shopping.

Sam Graci, creator of Greens+ and author of The Bone-Building Solution, is one of the most knowledgeable people I know when it comes to healthy eating.

The fact that I was able to spend one full hour with him at Whole Foods Market is surreal and it’s the kind of experience I want to share with all of my readers.

For those who like their information without too much of introduction, I’ve extracted the videos here for you to watch!

One of the easier ways to control your weight and make better food choices is to be fully aware of what you eat. If you are conscious of what foods you put into your shopping trolley and which foods you put into your mouth … that’s half the battle in your weight loss challenge.

I know a number of people who no longer have a dinner table, or use their dinner table as a computer desk because they eat all their meals in front of the television.

I really believe sitting on a sofa to watch your favourite show while eating dinner is a surefire way to sabotage your weight loss efforts because your focus is on the TV and not what (or much) you are putting into your mouth.

Don’t believe me?

There are billions of boxes of cereals sold every year, and so many of those are empty calories that will only make you fat and do very little to help you attain your ideal weight.

I’ve found a new batch of healthy cereals to help you make better food choices, and you can watch me talking about them below.

I often get asked if I have any food temptations. Well, I would not be human if I didn’t, would I? People are usually very surprised when they find out which foods make my cheat list:

* deep fried calamari

* skinny French fries (I don’t like the wide ones)

* chicken wings

* sweet potato fries

* coconut shrimp (I can eat a hundred of them!)

* a long list of French and Italian desserts

I think one of the main reasons why so many people tend to fail in their weight loss or become yo-yo dieters is because they wake up one day, decide they have to lose weight right now and then bam … they cut out everything.

When you do that, your brain turns into a 3-year-old and starts rebelling.

The solution is not cutting out your cheat foods, it’s keeping them to a bare minimum.

I’ve created a video that discusses 5 easy ways for you to resist food temptations and maintain a healthy ratio of 90 per cent clean eating to 10 per cent cheat foods. I hope the video will help you in your quest to create a healthier body.

***If you like the video, I’d appreciate it a lot if you took a second to rate it***

I received a question from one of my readers and since I was going back and forth via email, I decided to answer her question via video so that I can provide more readers a chance to take advantage of Doreen’s great question!

Doreen’s brother has just switched to the vegan diet and as a result he’s lost a whopping 70 lbs!

Wow! Congratulations!

Now, I want to make it clear that in my opinion, becoming vegan is a lifestyle choice and not necessary to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight.

That said, the fact that Doreen’s brother became a vegan, I have no doubt that his intake of vegetables and whole foods went up and really served his body well.

Doreen’s question had to do with her brother’s breakfast choice.

From her email, her brother has a breakfast shake with the following ingredients:

Orange, banana, water, assorted fruits, lots of spinach and flax seed.

I want to let you know that I’ve answered Doreen base on the information she sent me via email and this is really base on my own opinion.

When it comes to helping readers make better food choices when it come to healthy breakfast recipes, I try to include delicious breakfast smoothie recipes on the site, but there must be thousands of them all over the Internet.

There are just a few things to keep in mind: 1) don’t load up on sugar 2) make sure you always include a protein source in your smoothie.

>>>> Here’s my answer to Doreen’s question below:

***Don’t forget to rate this video if you like it!***

>>> Don’t forget that if you have other questions about healthy eating, don’t hesitate to send me an email or simply leave a comment in the box below!

I made this video to show you both GreenPan and EarthChef pans. Icooked a long list of healthy recipes in both of them.

The only obvious difference between the GreenPan/EarthChef pans and my old Teflon pan is that it takes a bit more time for the eco-friendly pans to warm up (I’d say two extra minutes), but I consider that to be a small detail that I can live with.

I remember not being quite sure of the size of the EarthChef pan because once I got it home, I realized that it was quite larger than I expected. But this “chef size” (as I call it) has come in handy when I’m sautéing onions, peppers and mushrooms because the large surface allows for everything in the pan to be well-cooked. I have to say I’m quite pleased with the EarthChef pan and look forward to a Sunday afternoon of cooking when I know there will be much to sauté for the week!

I’ve used my GreenPan for everything from heating up leftovers, to making an omelette, to sautéing vegetables! Gosh, do I ever love this pan.

Both pans are incredibly easy to clean (I wash mine by hand) and I love them … I really don’t feel like I’m missing out from no longer using my old Teflon-coated pan one bit.

Yes, eco-friendly, non-stick pans will cost you much more than the traditional kind. But let’s face it, you won’t be buying new pans for your kitchen every month … so think of it as an investment in your health!

What an incredible episode!

This week can be summarized in one word: DRAMA!!!

Episode three really kept me on the edge of my seat! There were so many emotions in this episode it was insane.

I’ve put all my thoughts about The Biggest Loser Season 8: episode 3 in this video because there were so many details.

This week’s main challenge was to decide if anyone of the participants wanted a 2 lbs advantage while giving up the support of trainer Bob and Jillian!

One person did take on the challenge and shocked not only her teammate, but also everyone one else including the trainers (you’ll have to watch the video to find out who was crazy enough to take on the challenge).

This episode 3 of The Biggest Loser Season 8 had three major and defining challenges:

1) Choosing to have a 2 lbs advantage in exchange for giving up the support of trainer Bob and Jillian!

2) Eat the most cupcakes in 10 minutes and win the change to decide which team member would weight in and define the faith of the entire team.

3) Incline challenge where team members had to lift 250 lbs of weight divided among 25 lbs or 10 lbs up a steep include in order to win a chance at immunity!

This week it was clear that all the team members had hit a bit of a plateau when it came to losing weight because this week most everyone lost far less weight than during week 1 or week 2!

This week’s elimination meant that an entire team would have to go home and that’s makes this whole two-hour so much more dramatic!

There are many lessons again to learn from this episode, but there a few that stand out:

> Fear can really sabotage your weight loss efforts

> Even when you think you can’t … you usually CAN push yourself further

> Don’t let anyone have power on your life

> There is nothing quite like team work

> Even if you don’t become “The Biggest Loser”, you can seriously change your life if you put your mind to it

> Having a strong support system, it can make a huge difference

>>> Here’s my video review!

***Thanks for rating this video if you like it! I appreciate each and every star!***
