I could NOT pass up this opportunity to share these incredible videos that bring to life Dr. John Berardi’s diet philosophy. Here you’ll see Amanda Graydon, director of Customer and Expert Relations, go over some really important food and diet facts.

There are 6 videos in total and they will show you the following Eat Smart Age Smart essential lessons:

1) Make better protein choices: Don’t kid yourself, you NEED protein, but it’s important to choose the best possible sources of protein.

2) Healthy fats: If you’re avoiding avocados because you think they are fattening … you are missing out big time when it comes to nutrition. There is such a thing as healthy fat and it should be a core part of your diet.

3) Choice your oils, sauces and dressings wisely: You need to be careful with some of those sauces and dressings because they can hide a lot of saturated fat. It’s a question of knowing which healthy choices to make to enhance your health.

4) Vegetable servings: You know what I’m going to say about eating your veggies. If you are skimping on vegetables, you are doing your body a huge disservice. Antioxidants are your friend and vegetable are full of antioxidants!

5) Good carbs and bad carbs: Please do NOT become a victim of the Hollywood diet. By that I mean, don’t cut out all carbs from your diet and think that you’ll lose weight. This types of carb-less diet will lead you into a path of food/nutrition deficiencies and you don’t want to do down that route … choose better carbs instead!

6) Tea is a powerful antioxidant: Yup, I love my espressos and my lattes, but I also will include black tea and green tea in my diet! I’m quite partial to strong British black tea and Asian jasmine green tea. I’ve tried white tea and red tea, but I’ve not have warmed up to them yet.

I have my own copy of Dr. John Berardi’s Precision Nutrition V3 course and I will share my finding with readers. That said, I truly encourage you to get your own copy because the information is really solid and this is THE nutritional systems most fitness professionals use to stay in shape.

I also think that Dr. Berardi’s Gourmet Nutrition cookbook is a MUST HAVE for anyone looking to learn how to cook healthy and tasty recipes. You can find more about it here: Gourmet Nutrition Cookbook
