Okay, so we all know food can cure (almost) anything, but OMG I just found out that food can even help you quit smoking!!!
According to a study from Duke University the following foods make cigarettes taste better – hence keeping you hooked to your addiction:
* Meat
* Coffee
* Alcoholic beverages
While the following foods were found to make cigarettes taste awful – hence helping you kick the nicotine habit and quit smoking:
* Fruits
* Vegetables
* Dairy Products
* Non-carbonated beverages (think of water and fruit juice)
Researchers still can’t explain why, but they hypothesize that foods may alter saliva production and temporarily change taste buds in a way that makes cigarettes more or less palatable.
So if you have an urge to smoke a cigarette, reach out for a tall glass of milk instead to help you quit smoking!
