Reebok Fitness Fashion is killer

I’ve never been one to think of what I will wear before hitting the gym.

In fact, since leaving the corporate world, I’ve been hitting the gym without makeup and I just pull my hair in a butterfly clip and I run out the door. It’s so bad that some people who have known me for years from the gym don’t recognize me when they see me all dressed up outside of the gym. I just don’t believe in getting all dolled up to sweat!

Now, I’ll admit that since starting this new site, I’ve been making a bit more effort and I’ve discovered the joys of fitness fashion (or fitness couture like I call it).

My latest discovery is Reebok!

I cannot tell you how happy I am with the latest fashion wear from this fitness giant.

Since this is fashion we’re talking about, I’ll jump right in and show you some of the Reebok fashion that has me excited when I go to the gym:

1) Reebok EasyTone Shoes

I do apologize for the photos below. I took these photos during a recent National fitness convention (the Can-Fit-Pro convention) and obviously I was out of focus (there was a demonstration of the jukari training while I was taking these photos), but I wanted to show you the advantage of these new walking shoes.

I’ll admit that it took me a few wears to get used to these shoes and feel comfortable. At first I felt they hurt my ankles, but it could simply be because this is a whole new way of walking for me.

The Reebok EasyTone Shoes are part of a list of shoes designed to increase the effectiveness of each step you take. Saturdays are my “run around days” and I love the idea that I’m activating my muscles while I walk about town.

If you look at the photo above you can see the back of the shoe and the two large yellow areas that help your legs get extra muscle work with each step.

The Reebok EasyTone Shoes help tone your legs by using pockets of air in the shoes. EasyTone activates certain muscles in your legs more than a traditional walking shoe. The air pockets also absorb energy when you walk to help create resistance, hence requiring more energy in every single step you take!

I truly would have thought it’s a silly gimmick had I not tried these shoes, but I’ll be honest I don’t walk the same way with these shoes as I do with my other trainers. I high recommend them for anyone who walks a lot and who wants a bit of extra burn with each step.

2) Reebok Hexride Cross Trainers

Did I ever need a new pair of cross trainers! I have to say this new design from Reebok is killer.

When I wore them to the gym the first time, everyone stopped me to find out which brand they were.

The interesting thing was how many people were surprised to find out they were Reebok shoes and how many people made the comment that they didn’t like their old shoe design, but the shoes I was wearing are killer.

These Reebok Hexride Cross Trainers are quite comfortable and they have a lot of padding and arch support inside the shoes, which I like a lot.

What can I say, an attractive shoe that has loads of support and that feels comfortable is all an active girl can ask for.

Oh, I forgot to mention that they are quite light and that’s a bonus for when I’m skipping rope for 30 minutes!

3) Reebok fitness tops with bra:

Even though I don’t have a big chest, I’ve always worn a sports bra because I just think it makes sense regardless of your chest size. Obviously women with larger breasts should definitely wear a sport bra, but I think smaller women should also because let’s face it gravity is not a pretty thing as you age.

I’ve tried a few of those sports tops that have an incorporated bra and they’ve left me quite disappointed.

I’ll be honest, I was ready to be disappointed when I first tried these Reebok tops at the gym and figured they would be incredibly uncomfortable, but I was wrong.

These Reebok tops are comfortable and the bra does hold and support you.

The colours are great and here’s another design element I love: The sides are in a vertical mesh fabric that elongates you and makes you look slimmer! If you don’t like those sports tops that are short and that show your goodies every time you bend over, you’ll be happy to know that these Reebox sports top hit you in the middle of the bum and you won’t be showing any parts of your body at the gym.

I might be wrong, but the impression I had about Reebok before rediscovering this beautiful assortment of fitness fashion is that they were just not all that “current” compared to an aggressive brand like Nike. That said, I have to say that I quite like the selection of fitness fashion items I have now and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy more Reebok fitness wear in the future.
