Am I’m Thirsty??
Recently after my workout I’ve been feeling unbelievably thirsty, as I guzzle water, I feel like I just can’t get enough. According to a studies, when your body is feeling thirsty it means that your target water volume is down by 2%! Don is in his mid-40s and he set out to find inspiration to stay fit as he ages. To accomplish this goal, McGrawth interviewed a whopping 50 ordinary people over 50 who were doing extraordinary things with their bodies. At an age when most people think they have to slow down on physical activity, these 50 athletes keep pushing boundaries and winning sports competitions.
The book starts on a high note because it actually gives a solid explanation of why people over 50 would still be motivated to push their bodies further and further as they age.
This is my kind of book because not only will you never catch me sitting on a rocking chair as I age, you’ll see me adopt “Bloomers” attitudes and keep engaging in new sports.
McGrawth defines “Bloomers” as people who found their sport passion later in life. That brings joy to my heart because it supports what I’ve been saying all this time: “there is no such thing as being too old to start getting into better shape”! I’m already quite active, but there is a long list of fitness activities I’d love to try and it’s refreshing to know that I can still keep trying until my 90s.
I also enjoyed reading the stories of athletes Jane Welzel (who’s been involved in distant running since the 70s … she’s now 54!) and Ward Smith (a 60-something surfer who’s been doing water sports since he was 6) who discovered their sports of choice at an early age and have never stopped.

Workout DVD to get you in shape at home
All right, so I won’t hide the fact that I really love working out at the gym because it gives me a chance to leave my home. Working at home can be rewarding, but you feel stuck in a box some days.
Now, I know that for busy moms with busy lives, making the time to drive to a gym, find parking, pay for parking, get into your workout clothes, do an hour workout, drive back home, take care of the family, get dinner ready and then take care of household chores is just too much to ask.
That’s why I’m such a HUGE fan of fitness DVDs for people who want to get into shape and who just cannot find the time to get to a gym. People make a huge deal of the latest and greatest fitness trend as life changer and THE all time best way of losing weight, but the reality is quite simple – if you start moving and sweating you’ll burn calories. That means that when you do intensive exercises (regardless of which one), you’ll burn fat, you’ll lose weight and you’ll lose belly fat!
That said, I’ve found a few DVD that will get you moving and get you to take real action if your goal for 2010 is to become healthier and fit.

Fitness boxing for women interview
Fitness boxing is one of my all time favourite fitness activities and having the pleasure to talk to another woman who likes it as much as I do is simply mind blowing to me.
Fitness boxing has transformed the way I workout and the way I feel about my body and I had met up to now few women willing to put on gloves and bang on those bags.
