I believe diets are so popular because most people find it extremely difficult to stick to a healthy eating plan and therefore they are always jumping from one fade diet to another.
It’s true that I might be more disciplined than a lot of people when it comes to healthy eating, but I’m not perfect and I do have many days when I just want to eat what I feel like eating even if I know it’s not the best food option for me.
I’ll give a good example, yesterday, I had a craving for gelato (Italian ice cream) and chips in the same day within a few hours of each other. Since I do watch what I eat on a regular base, I decided to give in and indulge in both. I most likely will not eat dessert or chips for many days to come, but yesterday I was in the mood for both!
As you can clearly see, I’m not perfect all the time (no one really is), I do give in to temptations here and there. Healthy eating is still a learning curve for me every single day. I do learn quite a lot from reading a number of books, magazines, blogs and sites and I do also learn a lot from you, my favorite readers in the world and many of the fans on my Facebook fan page.

I love fitness boxing so much!
In fact, I love it so much that I’m talking about it again! If you remember, I reviewed fitness boxing a few months ago after training for about 5 weeks at a gym that offered a super intensive fitness boxing class with a Russian instructor.

With that great experience behind me, I was set to go to an exclusive boxing school to learn from former professional fighters! I mean, if you are serious about any type of fitness activity, the ultimate dream is to learn from a pro!
That’s exactly why I headed to Florida Jacks.

Can water help you lose weight?

I always drink at least 1.5 to 2 litres of water during the winter months and I can easily drink 3 or 4 litres of water in the summer. Contrarily to many people, I actually like the “taste” of water because it has “no taste” … it’s simply refreshing and quenches my thirst perfectly.
Lately, I’ve been reading about how health and nutrition experts are now talking about the benefits of drinking water to help control your weight.

Halloween candy can make you gain weight: 8 tips to help you control candy-binging
Halloween candy here, Halloween candy there, Halloween candy everywhere!
That should truly be the theme for the month of October.
I can tell you that I’ve noticed that most grocery stores and drugstores had started selling Halloween candy just after they had stored away the back to school supply. Yup, stores have been selling Halloween candy since the second week of September!
This is the time of year where things start getting a bit scary in most offices. By scary I mean you’ll start finding a lot more candy and goodies around the office and the temptation to eat far more candy than anyone will ever need is just that much easier.
When you combine the amount of sugar most people eat in October to the fact that most of us will be partying it up at Halloween parties where there will be alcohol and some not-so-healthy-snacks, you can see how you can end up the month of October with a few extra pounds.

Appetizers and snacks may not seem like food in comparison to sitting down with a plate (a fork and a knife), but they will considerably add to your calorie load because you can easily overindulge when it comes to those bite-size portions that are so popular at this time of the year.
You see, when it comes to appetizers, most of us stand in front of a table, chatting up a storm, reminiscing about the year that has passed all the while popping copious amounts of bite-size food in our mouths.
