User Ratings and Reviews

5 Stars Excellent
This book is an excellent book to help you get your life on track. You can’t help but get closer to God and become more Christ-like. One great side effect is losing weight. I would recommend this book to everyone.

5 Stars Seek Ye First…
Though I don’t actually own this book I have taken the online course and I LOVE IT! The principles of seeking first the Kingdom of God and having the things of this life fall into proper perspective, is so true. The focus of this program is God Himself and honoring Him in every aspect of our lives. As we do this food also takes its correct place in our lives and results in weight loss and overall better health. This new and dynamic approach to weight loss was revolutionary to me. I have tried to lose weight on several other diet plans and though they worked for awhile they didn’t address the problem of the heart and so were not permanent. This study addresses the heart which can lead to permanent changes in eating as well as in many other areas of life.

5 Stars Life Changing
My husband and I decided to start this bible study after the holidays because we were gaining too much weight. It is NOT a diet plan but offers a very easy, flexible way to manage the food you do eat. The guts of this study is to see how overeating (not simple eating) is a sin in the context that we are stuffing our temple of the holy spirit which is not God-honoring. “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Our eating habits were not glorifying God. By doing this study together, we have grown spiritually and our marriage is stronger. In the first month of using their eating style, we have lost about 10 pounds. But we really like that we are not starving, not counting carbs or calories, but eating what we want without condemnation. It is very flexible as everyone’s life schedules change from week to week, you can adjust what eating style you want for that need. I highly recommend this book for those who want to be transformed, grow closer to God, and NOT go on a diet!

5 Stars GREAT study!!
I am about 2 weeks into the study and it has been phenomenal!! I would recommend this to anyone who is looking to break their addiction to food… It has been life changing!

5 Stars The Lord’s Table: A biblical approach to weight loss.
This book is amazing! I give it 5 stars easily. Based on biblical teachings and explanations, I am seeing how we allow food to be our comfort instead of leaning on God for all of our needs.

I don’t even focus on food anymore. I don’t think about it. This book is even allowing for a more personal intimate relationship with God because HE is finally who I go to with all my needs and worries, not food!

If you are struggling with food addiction in any way, you will not be disappointed with this book. It will also draw you closer to God! I will definitely reread this book over and over.
