Which healthy habits are you committing to for the New Year?
Here we are again at the beginning of a brand new year filled with hope and aspirations.
For most people, fitness (aka eating healthy, exercising, losing weight, getting the entire family on a healthy regime, stop being a couch potato and much more) tops the list of things they want to improve for the year.
That said, I think it is brutally important that you be as specific as possible when it comes to determining what outcome you want. Basically, you need to have a clear vision as to what you want to accomplish and how you’ll make it happen.
I’d love to open the floor and hear what readers have to say about which healthy habits they’re committing to for the New Year.
I’ll go ahead and start the discussion and I’m looking forward to hearing from you!
Practices Krizia is committed to maintaining in 2010:
* I floss every single day (even on vacation)
* I remove my make-up each night … even if it’s 3 a.m.!
* I love to exercise and I love when I sweat so much I can barely see in front of me.
* I eat two salads a day and have no intentions of slowing down.
* I love most vegetables and I enjoy the taste of vegetables (rapini and broccoli are among my favourites).
* I love steam showers and how incredible detoxified I feel when I finish a 10-15 minutes session (and OMG don’t get me started on how incredible they are for my hair and skin).
* I cook meals at home because I know what’s in my food when I do.
* I love my weekly dessert trips to my favourite French pastry shop.
* I’m going back to fitness boxing in the New Year!
* I still eat potatoes, white rice and white pasta (in moderation and if Italian women and French women can do it … so can I!
* I don’t eat processed foods because I don’t like the taste and I love good food and cook way too much … so I’d rather get my hands dirty when I’m hungry than grabbing convenience that comes at a hefty price tag.
* I’ve just discovered liquid vitamin D and I have to thank Dr. Oz for repeating on his show how black people MUST take vitamin D to prevent health issues as they grow older.
* I still indulge in my cheat foods here and there and I won’t give those up because I don’t eat them often.
